AREMA annual dinner
The 2006 dinner was held following the AGM on 31 August. At the dinner
members farewelled John Shewan of ECP Australia (Airwell) who is retiring.
John has served on AREMA's Executive Management Committee and as Treasurer
for many years and will be missed.

Air-conditioning
& Refrigeration Industry Briefing
29 November 2006
A full-day briefing from the Australian Greenhouse Office (AGO) Department
of Environment & Heritage (DEH) covering HVAC and peak load
strategies, close control air-conditioners and chillers, compliance
activities proposed air-conditioning MEPS.
The all day briefing was held at the Kurrajong Hotel.
Members later enjoyed a dinner at the Ottoman Restaurant.

Air conditioning & energy performance - the next 5 years Conference
AREMA co-sponsored the APEC (Asia Pacific Economic Co-operation) conference
" Air conditioning & energy performance - the next 5 years" at Darling Harbour in
Sydney on June 7-9 2004.
The conference covered the testing of air conditioners:
* ISO test methods, rate modelling, MEPS and labelling;
* regulation of synthetic greenhouse gases;
* electricity peak load and demand side management for
air-conditioners
Industry & government delegates attended from most APEC
countries.
Conference papers will posted here as they become available.
